Manual Lymphatic Drainage
The lymphatic system plays a critical role in the body. Its primary function is to transport and dispose of waste material from tissues into the bloodstream. This includes the removal of fats, proteins, water, and other organic and inorganic cell material, as well as foreign organisms like viruses and bacteria.
During the transportation process, lymph fluid is filtered, cleaned and concentrated. Many immune reactions occur in the lymph nodes. When pathways become congested, blocked or damaged, fluids can build up in connective tissues, leading to potential problems.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD) can assist in maintaining the flow and function of this critical system.
MLD can help treat a wide variety of conditions, including,
concussions
vertigo/meniere's/BPPV
TMJ
sinus congestion
headaches/migraines
tendonitis
COPD, bronchitis
constipation/digestion
chronic inflammation
osteoarthritis
